Every driveway is different. Whether yours needs a fresh surface, more room, or a complete replacement, we'll evaluate what's there and talk through your options.

New Driveway Installation

Starting from the ground up? We can handle the grading, base preparation, and asphalt paving needed for a new driveway.

Driveway Overlays

When the existing driveway is a good candidate, an asphalt overlay can provide a fresh surface without completely removing what's already there.

Removal & Replacement

When existing asphalt is too old or damaged for an overlay, we can remove it, prepare the site, and install new pavement.

Driveway Widening

Need more room for vehicles or easier access? We can widen an existing paved driveway where site conditions allow.

Repairs & Problem Areas

We handle smaller asphalt repairs, including areas damaged by tree roots. Depending on the problem, we can remove the affected pavement, address the area, backfill, and repave.

And yes, we take on small jobs. If you have a smaller paving or repair project that other contractors may pass over, give us a call.

Why Newman's

The Person Who Bids Your Job Stays Involved.

Jeff and Riley Newman stay hands-on from the estimate through the work itself, backed by a small, experienced crew — and Brooke runs the office, often as the first person you'll talk to. From your first call to the finished job, the same family stays involved in making sure the details carry through.

It's a personal approach to paving — and it's how Newman's has done business since 2003.

What Makes Us Different

Your Driveway Gets Personal Attention.

Newman Paving and Curbing is a small, family-owned paving company by choice. Jeff and Riley stay involved from the estimate through the work itself, and Brooke runs the office — often the first person you'll reach when you call. So the people who understand what you want are the same people seeing your project through.

That hands-on approach also means we're willing to tackle the jobs others may not — from a small repair to a long, steep, or challenging driveway.

Guidance / Education

A Good Driveway Starts Below the Surface.

A driveway isn't just the asphalt you see when the job is finished. The condition of the site, preparation underneath the pavement, grade, and how water moves across the property all matter.

That becomes especially important on long, steep, very flat, or otherwise challenging driveways. Our team looks at the conditions of the property and plans the paving around the site — not the other way around. And new pavement isn't always necessary. If an overlay, targeted repair, crack filling, or seal coating makes more sense for the condition of your driveway, we'll talk through those options with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you install brand-new asphalt driveways?

Yes. Newman Paving and Curbing handles new driveway paving, including grading and base preparation when needed.

  • Can you pave over my existing driveway?

Sometimes. If the existing pavement and site conditions make it a good candidate for an overlay, new asphalt can be installed over the existing surface. We'll look at the driveway before recommending an overlay or replacement.

  • Can you remove and replace an old driveway?

Yes. If the existing asphalt needs to come out, Newman Paving and Curbing can remove it, prepare the site, and repave the driveway.

  • Can you widen my existing driveway?

Yes, driveway widening is one of the residential paving projects we handle. We'll evaluate the property and determine what preparation is needed.

  • Do you repair driveway damage caused by tree roots?

Yes. Depending on the situation, we can cut out the affected asphalt, address the root-related problem area, backfill, and repave the damaged section.

  • Can you pave long or steep driveways?

Yes. Newman Paving and Curbing has experience with long, steep, flat, and challenging driveways. Grade and drainage are important considerations, so we evaluate the conditions of the property before determining the paving approach.

  • Do you take small driveway repair jobs?

Yes. No job too small is something we mean. Newman Paving and Curbing takes on smaller residential paving and repair projects that some larger paving companies may not.

  • How long does driveway paving take?

Many residential driveway projects can be completed in a single day. Timing depends on the size, condition, preparation required, and complexity of the project.

  • Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Jeff or Riley will come out, look at your driveway, discuss what you want to accomplish, and provide an estimate for the recommended work.
